Therapy for Life’s Challenges at Any Stage
Engaging in therapy is a decision to invest in yourself. Getting better doesn’t always feel better initially as change can be difficult even when the outcome is desired. Meaningful transformation comes with a willingness to challenge ourselves to see our own participation (consciously or unconsciously) in the presenting problems. Only as we examine the root causes and recognize outdated coping patterns do we have agency to change and improve the quality of our relationships and our lives.

Therapy for People in the Helping Professions
People who work in the helping professions, such as therapists, clergy, physicians, nurses, professors, teachers, attorneys, fiduciaries and others often find it difficult to seek help for themselves when they need support. The qualities that make them successful at work can be the obstacles to intimacy at home. The assurance of having their professional identity protected while sorting out personal issues is critical.
I work independently of insurance companies and third-party contracts that require information, including a psychiatric diagnosis and may restrict the parameters of the therapy process. I welcome the opportunity to work with you in a private, professionally respectful and collaborative relationship to explore the issues causing distress and create the changes you’re seeking to make.
